Dr Voges is a senior clinical psychologist at Tygerberg Hospital, a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry and faculty member for the Master’s degree in Infant Mental Health at Stellenbosch University.

Dr Voges has been involved in several research and intervention projects related to improving parent-infant attachment and parental mentalising. She has a particular interest in working with mothers with mental illness and supporting the developing mother-infant attachment with their infants.

Dr Voges completed her PhD on parental mentalising and parent-infant interaction among mothers with psychosis.

She was the chairperson of the Western Cape Association for Infant Mental Health and is the first chairperson of the South African Association for Infant Mental Health.
